Fun Fact: When I was very young, I watched a documentary about the diffusion of anacondas in Florida, and for quite some time afterward I was so terrified that a snake might emerge from my toilet (in Rome, with not an anaconda in sight) that someone had to come into the bathroom with me.

MADE IN BED proudly introduces our newest Reviews Co-Editor, Elisa Consentino!
Born and raised in Rome, Elisa later moved to Milan to study Management for the Arts at university. During her time there, she worked across several commercial galleries, where her passion for contemporary art truly blossomed and where she discovered a particular love for research and writing. In July 2024, she participated as a guest speaker at the 7th Annual Conference of the International Art Market Studies Association at the University of Melbourne, presenting the paper ‘The Evolution of the South African Pavilion at the Venice Biennale: Towards Gender and Racial Equality?’, developed from her thesis research. Elisa is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Contemporary Art at Sotheby’s Institute, with the aim of deepening her understanding of contemporary art practices and critical theory. She hopes that contributing for the Review section at MADE IN BED will strengthen her writing skills and provide opportunities to discover galleries, museums, and artists she has yet to encounter in London.
What Elisa loves most is visiting museums, going to the movies, chatting with friends and reading. Her enjoyment of reading eventually led her to begin occasionally working as a novel editor around four years ago.
